RULES OF TRAVEL FOR İZMİR SEFERİHİSAR – YUNANİSTAN SAMOS and AYDIN KUŞADASI – YUNANİSTAN SAMOS TRIPS
1. CHECK – IN
· The passenger's passport must be valid for at least 3 months to travel between İzmir Seferihisar – Samos and Aydın Kuşadası – Samos. (The validity period of the passport must be at least 3 months from the date of return from Samos to Turkey.)
· It is not allowed to enter Greece through passports older than 10 years, even if the validity period is effective.
· Schengen Visa or Entry Gate Visa and Passport are required to travel between Izmir Seferihisar – Samos and Aydin Kuşadası - Samos.
· Passengers departing abroad through a passport of the Republic of Turkey are charged a fee per departure. The fee must be paid by the passenger before the trip through the contracted bank or online or at the Seferihisar Teos Marina Sales Office.
· Passengers traveling from Seferihisar to Samos must be present at the Seferihisar Sığacık Teos Marina Sales Office at least 1.5 hours before the departure time to complete the check-in procedures.
· Passengers traveling from Kuşadası to Samos must be present at the Kuşadası Ege Port Sales Office at least 1.5 hours before the departure time to complete the check-in procedures.
· After passing through the Passport Control Point, ticket checks are performed at the ship entrance.
· Passengers with tickets that have been cancelled, re-dated or suspended for any reason will not be allowed on board.
2. UNPERMITTED CONDITIONS FOR DEPARTURE OR ENTRANCE INTO GREECE
· Passengers with a stamp of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in their passports are not allowed to enter Greece. Passengers who want to enter Greece even though their passport contains the TRNC entry, are deemed to have accepted and undertaken the financial and legal responsibility in advance. Therefore, İDO is not responsible for the situation of passengers who cannot enter the country.
· In cases not related to İDO, such as legal, administrative, visa issues, if there are obstacles to the passenger's entry/exit, the service contract is terminated, and any refund request is not accepted.
· Turkish citizens born in the TRNC are not allowed to enter if their passport indicates the place of birth and the TRNC designation (such as Girne-TRNC, etc.).
· If the Schengen visa is obtained from a country other than Greece, the passenger must first enter and exit that country to enter Samos.
3. PASSENGER TICKETS
· Passenger should purchase the ticket by his/her full name written in the passport. The passenger ticket with the specified name cannot be transferred, resold to another person, or have a name change.
Ticket Refund and Change:
· The buyer does not have the right to withdraw according to the "Distance Sales Regulation" dated 27.11.2014, under the heading "Use of the Right of Withdrawal and Obligations of the Parties" in the "Third Section," since the provisions do not apply to "Passenger Transportation Services." "Electronic tickets purchased according to the Cancellation and Refund Conditions of the Journey Agreement cannot be changed for passenger, date, time, and route information. The buyer explicitly agrees that the ticket purchased under this agreement will not be changed or refunded after the sales confirmation." is specified.
· However, our passenger can defer or re-date the ticket once by notifying at least 24 hours before the departure time.
Open Tickets:
· The rescheduling of open tickets can be done if the requested journey is available. To reschedule open tickets, contact İDO sales offices at least 3 days before the departure of the relevant route. İDO sales offices are located in Sığacık Teos Marina in Seferihisar and Ege Port in Kuşadası.
· Open tickets not used until the last trip of the season lose their validity. Open tickets must be used within the same season.
4. CANCELLATION / CHANGE OF THE VOYAGE
· İDO is obligated to fulfill scheduled trips that it has not announced the cancellation of. İDO saves the right to change the schedule and cancel the trip in case of extraordinary and force majeure situations such as adverse weather and sea conditions, deactivation of port facilities, prevention of voyage by the administration, strike, etc.
· If the voyage is canceled due to extraordinary and force majeure reasons, the amount paid will be refunded to the ticket holders within 30 days. İDO is not responsible for accommodation and other expenses that may arise due to canceled trips for extraordinary and force majeure reasons.
· In adverse weather and sea conditions, the ship captain may cancel the trip or make changes to the departure/arrival port for passenger safety.
5. PASSENGERS WITH SPECIAL REQUESTS / PASSENGERS WITH PETS
· Passengers with special conditions (allergies, illnesses, etc.) must inform İDO Sales Office at least 48 hours before the trip. İDO sales offices are located in Sığacık Teos Marina in Seferihisar and Ege Port in Kuşadası.
· It is not possible to travel with pets.
Passengers with Bicycle:
· Passengers who want to travel with their bicycles on Seferihisar - Samos and Kuşadası – Samos trips must inform about this request during ticket reservation. Each of our ships has a bicycle capacity of 10.
Passengers Traveling with Guide Dogs:
· Guide dogs accompanying blind and partially sighted passengers can travel in passenger lounges.
Documents for guide dogs;
· Guide Dogs Association ID card,
· Dog vaccination card,
· Body dog leash indicating that it is a guide dog,
· Hospital report of the blind and partially sighted passengers in necessary cases.
· Guide dog must travel with body dog leash and muzzle during the journey.
6. LUGGAGE
· The passenger can bring only one suitcase or handbag on the trip.
· İDO does not charge any additional fees for the mentioned suitcase and handbag, apart from the ticket fee.
· The carrier may refuse to carry excess baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance.
· Handbags (except for cases where damage is caused by the carrier) are not the responsibility of İDO.
· Passengers with wheelchairs can bring their chairs to the ships free of charge in addition to the mentioned baggage.
· İDO, in accordance with international rules, has the right to "Refuse Transport" for substances not accepted as baggage. Passenger cannot keep fragile and perishable items, money, jewellery, precious metals, silverware, promissory notes or other commercially valuable papers, passports and other identity documents in baggage during the journey. İDO is not responsible for any damage or losses resulting from keeping these items in the baggage, and these damages and losses cannot be claimed from IDO.
8. THE RIGHT TO SEARCH
· For safety and security reasons the carrier may request permission from the passenger to search his/her person and luggage and may carry out, or have the search carried out, in the absence of the passenger.
· If the passenger does not comply with this request, the Carrier may refuse to carry the passenger and his/her luggage.
10. BEHAVIOR ON BOARD
- The passenger is obliged to obey all the instructions of the captain regarding the order on board. If the passenger acts in a way that endanger the ship or any person or property, or prevents the ship's crew from performing their duties, or does not follow the ship's crew instructions, or causes reasonable objections from other passengers, İDO may take the measures it deems necessary to prevent the continuation of such behavior, including arresting the passenger.
11. REFUSAL OF CARRIAGE
- İDO may refuse to transport the passenger and luggage in the following and similar cases for security reasons or by using discretion. If the passenger poses any risk or danger to other people or property, does not comply with İDO's instructions, has refused security control, or obtained the ticket by violating the current laws or İDO's fare tariffs or rules; İDO saves the right to refuse to transport the passenger.
- The carriage of any kind of flammable, explosive, and radioactive goods covered by the international "IMDG Code" agreement related to the transport of hazardous cargoes is strictly prohibited. The transportation of materials falling within the scope of hazardous goods, firearms and ammunition used outside of hunting and sports purposes, and materials deemed unsuitable for transport by İDO in terms of weight or size is also prohibited.
9. LIMITATION OF TRANSPORTATION
- Children under the age of 16 can only travel with an accompanying person.
- Unaccompanied children, passengers in need of assistance, pregnant women, or sick individuals must inform IDO in advance and obtain approval to travel on IDO trips. IDO is not responsible for any deterioration in the health of the passenger during the journey.
11. DISCOUNTED TICKETS
- Children aged 6-12 can travel with a 50% discount.
12. BOARDING AND DISEMBARKING PROCEDURES
- A ticket purchased for any trip is only valid for the specified trip. Unused tickets are invalid.
- Passengers are responsible for verifying the accuracy of the information on the ticket, and later objections are invalid.
- It is dangerous and prohibited for passengers to board or disembark sea buses before the ferry staff have given the go-ahead for boarding or disembarking and before the necessary safety precautions have been taken.
