IDO INTERNATIONAL VOYAGES TRAVEL RULES
1. CHECK - IN
- In order to travel on all IDO international routes between Izmir Seferihisar - Samos and Aydın Kuşadası - Samos or other islands, passenger passport must be valid for 3 months or more. (Passport validity must be at least 3 months as of the date of return to Turkey from Samos)
- Passports older than 10 years are not allowed to enter Greece even if the validity period is appropriate.
- Passport and Visa are required to travel between Izmir Seferihisar - Samos and Aydın Kuşadası - Samos. Visa can be Schengen or “Gate Visa”.
- Passengers traveling abroad with a Republic of Turkey Passport are charged a fee per exit. The fee must be paid by the passenger before the trip. The fee can be paid from contracted banks, online or at our sales office in Seferihisar Teos Marina.
- Passengers traveling from Seferihisar to Samos must be present at Seferihisar Sığacık Teos Marina Sales Office 1.5 hours before the departure time at the latest to complete check-in procedures.
- Passengers traveling from Kuşadası to Samos must be present at Kuşadası Ege Port Sales Office 1.5 hours before the departure time at the latest to complete the check-in procedures.
- After passing through the Passport Control Point, tickets are checked at the entrance of the ship.
- Passengers with tickets that have been canceled, rescheduled or suspended for any reason cannot participate in the voyage.
2. SITUATIONS WHERE PERMISSION TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY AND ENTER GREECE IS NOT GRANTED
- Passengers with K.K.T.C. stamp in their passports are not allowed to enter Greece. Passengers who wish to enter Greece even though their passports bear the Republic of Cyprus stamp are deemed to accept and undertake the financial and legal responsibility in advance. For this reason, İDO is not responsible for the situation of our passengers who cannot enter the country.
- In cases that are not caused by IDO, such as judicial, administrative, visa, etc. and that prevent the passenger from entering/exiting the country, the service contract is terminated and no refund request will be accepted.
- Turkish citizens born in TRNC are not allowed to enter the country if their passport has the place of birth and TRNC phrase (Kyrenia-KKTC etc.).
- If the Schengen visa is obtained from a country other than Greece, the passenger must first enter and exit that country in order to enter Samos.
3. PASSENGER TICKETS
- Our passenger must purchase the ticket with his/her full name written in his/her passport. Passenger tickets issued in his/her name cannot be transferred, resold to someone else and name changes cannot be made.
Ticket Returns & Changes:
- 27.11.2014 dated Distance Contracts Regulation “Use of the Right of Withdrawal and Obligations of the Parties” under the title of “Third Section” regulating the written articles, “Passenger Transportation Services” does not apply to the BUYER's right of withdrawal.
In no way can the seller be requested to change the passenger, date, time and route information of the electronic tickets purchased according to the “Cancellation of the Journey and Fee Refund Terms” contract. The buyer hereby accepts and undertakes that he/she will not change the ticket purchased according to this contract in any way after the sales confirmation and will not request a refund.” Name change and refund requests will not be accepted.
- However, our passenger can suspend or reschedule his/her ticket 1 time provided that he/she notifies 24 hours before the departure time at the latest.
Open Tickets:
- Rescheduling of open tickets can be made if the requested flight is available. In order to reschedule open tickets, IDO sales offices must be contacted at least 3 days before the departure. IDO sales offices are located in Sığacık Teos Marina in Seferihisar and Ege Port in Kuşadası.
- Open tickets not used until the last sailing of the season lose their validity. Open tickets must be used within the same season.
4. VOYAGE CANCELLATION / CHANGE
- DO is obliged to fulfill the scheduled sailings for which it has not announced cancellation. IDO reserves the right to change the timetable and cancel the voyage in extraordinary and force majeure circumstances such as adverse weather and sea conditions, disablement of port facilities, strike, suspension of voyages by official authorities, etc.
- In case of cancellation of the voyage due to extraordinary and force majeure circumstances beyond the control of IDO, the ticket price will be refunded to the passenger within 30 days. İDO is not responsible for any expenses such as accommodation etc. that may be incurred in case of voyage cancellations due to extraordinary and force majeure circumstances.
- In adverse weather and sea conditions, the ship captain may cancel the voyage or change the port of departure/arrival for passenger safety.
5. PASSENGERS WITH SPECIAL REQUESTS / PASSENGERS TRAVELING WITH PETS
- Passengers with special conditions (allergy, illness, etc.) should inform IDO Sales Office 48 hours before the departure at the latest. IDO sales offices
